Fermentor 1.25L
The BioFlo 3000 Fermentor at the Keck Facility has a working volume between 0.6 and 1.25L. This makes the fermentor ideal for small-scale growths using expensive 15N or 13C, for instance. It offers almost all convenient features you might have already appreciated in our BioFlo IV fermentor (15L). While it can't be sterilized in place, the autoclaves are conveniently located just around the corner.
Key features of the BioFlo 3000 fermentor include:
- Working volume from 0.6L to 1.2L
- Built-in 2-gas controller for fermentation, interactive 4-gas controller for cell culture
- Dissolved oxygen probe and pH probe control growth conditions, which are adjusted according to run specifications defined by the operator
- Five programmable pumps assignable to over seven different functions
- Rapid temperature shift for enhanced protein production in temperature-induction studies
- Temperature controlled from ~20° to 80° C
