Rapid Quench Flow Instrument
The quenched-flow instrument allows one to analyze the development and decay of reactants, intermediates, and products during rapid (enzyme-catalyzed) reactions in the absence of any useful spectroscopic probes. The reactions are initiated and then quenched at different times (from ms to seconds or longer), allowing the use of methods to analyze the species present, such as mass spec, NMR / ESR / ENDOR, HPLC, CE, electron microscopy and others.
