Laboratory Adventures in the Biological Sciences (L.A.B.S.) is a fun, hands-on program at Northwestern University designed to get kids (grades 1 - 7) interested in laboratory-based biology. The kids will work in small groups with advanced Northwestern undergraduate students to perform experiments that illustrate the excitement and wonder that science offers. The L.A.B.S. program this year will have new laboratory exercises in biotechnology, molecular biology, genetics and cell biology. Projects will include "take-home" experiments that can be done together with parents and siblings.
