ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
The Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Cell Biology encourages outstanding individuals with research interests that complement existing strengths of the department to apply for the position of Assistant Professor. The department is an exciting interdisciplinary research and training environment located on Northwestern’s Evanston, Illinois campus. The recent opening of the Pancoe/Northshore Life Sciences Pavilion and the October 2009 completion of Silverman Hall are part of an ongoing expansion of the life sciences at Northwestern.
We are particularly interested in the following areas:
- Molecular and Cellular Biology, especially research utilizing advanced imaging approaches to investigate cellular processes.
- Systems Biology, including biological complexity, synthetic biology, genome-wide approaches and developmental networks.
