Prescott Medical Communications Group Sponsored Lectureship
This support allows BMBCB and NBP to invite prominent speakers to participate in our ongoing seminar series and gives PMCG an opportunity to stay abreast of many areas of science. Dr. Marc Vidal from Harvard Medical School gave a lecture on November 30th, 2006 and Dr. Jared Diamond spoke on April 23rd, 2007.
Center and Institute Support
Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Institute for Biomedical Research
Generous support from this institute fosters collaborative multidisciplinary research and educational programs. Funding is provided for the department seminar series, graduate student and postdoctoral career development programming, equipment acquisition and the department research retreat.
Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center
An endowment to the Evanston Campus from Ann Lurie, administered through the Cancer Center, provides capital funding for innovative collaborative research as well as initial funding for program development. The Gramm Travel Fellowships support graduate student and postdoctoral fellow travel to present their work at research conferences. An NCI Center of Excellence award provides the support for programs and infrastructure for the more than 200 Full Members on the three campuses comprising the Cancer Center.
