Northwestern University is proud to announce its latest institutional innovation in cell and developmental biology research - The Center for Cell and Developmental Biology.

In a collaborative effort to promote the sharing of research facilities and investigative initiatives, the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Cell Biology and the Department of Neurobiology and Physiology established the Center to organize and publicize the strengths of NU researchers. The scientists within the Center explore the pathways and mechanisms used by single cells to function and interact with their environments and investigate how cells develop and communicate to form entire organisms.

"Through its activities, the Center should make the Evanston campus an

even stronger environment for researchers in cell and developmental

biology to do their work, and should bring even more visibility to this work."
