Faculty and Staff
We at BMBCB know that it is the people in a department that make it both successful and unique. Within each of our labs, our highly regarded faculty work with and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, laboratory technicians, and postdoctoral fellows. Our faculty members have been published in numerous scientific journals, such as Science, Development, Nature, Cell, Virology, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. And in recognition of their pioneering research, they have been presented with many prestigious awards and have among their honors an American Academy of Arts and Sciences fellow, American Association for the Advancement of Science Fellows, Burroughs Wellcome Career Awards in the Biomedical Sciences, a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, National Academy of Sciences Members, National Institutes of Health Merit Awards, and the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.
Staff members support BMBCB faculty and other department members in all aspects of administration; the assistance includes a financial services support office, full-time staff in all of the facilities and centers and dedicated staff in the central office who assist with everything from daily tasks to helping to secure grant funding or running the weekly seminar series.
