Small Molecule Compound Libraries

In order to fill a gap in Northwestern researchers' assets, HTAL has acquired four sets of synthetic compounds and natural products from the National Cancer Institute: the structural diversity set, the mechanistic diversity set, the natural products set, and the challenge set, in all totaling over 3200 compounds. They are free to use in screenings by northwestern researchers who are affiliated with the Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. This is the first phase of HTA lab's effort to build a chemical compound library. We plan to acquire the 140,000 compounds in the NCI library when our storage system is in place.
