“High Content Analysis--An Introduction” presented by Neil Durso, PhD, Applications Scientist, Thermo Fisher Scientific.

“Development of an HCS Approach to Measure Cellular Phenotypica and Pathway Parameters Indicative of Rock Activity” presented by Danli Town, PhD, Abbott Laboratories.

A light lunch will be served during the seminar.

BioRad 384CFX Training Seminar
Specialists from BioRad will be on campus Thursday, February 5th from 10:30 to 12 pm for a training seminar on the new 384CFX qPCR instrument held in Pancoe 1401. Seating is limited.

BioRad 384CFX to be purchased by HTA

A BioRad 384CFX will be added to the HTA facility instrument repertoir. The new qPCR instrument was introduced in 2008 and features state of the art optics and software.

" The CFX384 real-time PCR detection system brings flexibility and simplicity to researchers performing high-throughput real-time PCR in a 384-well format, with up to four-target detection and powerful data analysis. With the precise thermal control of the C1000 thermal cycler, the CFX384 system delivers sensitive, reliable detection for real-time PCR applications, including absolute quantitation, genetic variation analysis, and gene expression. CFX Manager software, which runs on a PC, provides numerous features and tools to streamline experiment setup and data analysis."
