The ORCA® Robotic Arm facilitates easy access to a broad range of peripheral devices and instruments.

The ORCA optimizes the use of the laboratory worksurface by operating on both sides of the rail.

Its compact design provides for dexterity in tight spaces.

Platform Components:
•  ORCA arm
•  Biomek FX multichannel liquid handling workstation
•  Biomek FX Span 8 liquid handling workstation
•  Biotek ELx405 plate washer
•  Tecan Ultra multimode plate reader
•  Cytomat HCS incubator

Typical Applications:
The fully integrated system is capable of molecular-based screens and cell-based assays using photometric detection by absorbance, fluorescence, and luminescence. The system can be used for a broad range of applications, such as enzymatic assays, molecular binding assays (protein-protein, protein-DNA, protein-ligand) using ELISA or fluorescence polarization, reporter-based assays, GFP-based assays, and fluorescence-based ion flux assays.   The platform can be used in automating molecular biology protocols, including DNA plasmid purification and recombinant protein expression profiling and purification.
