Postdoc Association
The mission of the Postdoc Association is to help each other prepare for careers as leaders in life and biomedical sciences by focusing on ways to improve our research, teaching, management, grant-writing and presentation skills. As a group of scientists with similar professional interests and career goals, we will strive to:
- Network with each other, with the alumni and with science professionals from both academia and industry.
- Help each other explore career opportunities and secure employment.
- Serve as a channel for communication between postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, the BMBCB administration and Northwestern University.
- Provide input and feedback to the department of BMBCB in order to assist its efforts in inviting seminar speakers and recruiting graduate student, postdoctoral, and faculty candidates.
- Host a seminar annually in which we will invite a prominent scientist as a keynote speaker.
